Well, it's pretty obvious the forum is dead now. But that's not to say we can't come back. It's time to stop talking. I will take no excuses from any members not participating in this. That means you, people-that-suggest-ideas-then-do-nothing-with-them.

Very, very few people check the comment boards compared to the number that play PG. Just take me as an example. I didn't know they existed until I saw TSL's upload advertisement.

Now, isn't it little odd that TSL managed to churn out hundreds of members with an upload advertisement, while we (meaning I) advertise on the comments all the time and we don't get anyone?

Well, I think we need to focus on a different kind of advertising. Uploads. As many as one can, as fast as one can, all pointing toward the ODBF. They don't even have to be good, as long as they are SOMETHING. Forget good tactics, we need massive copy-pasted comment adverts so that we almost always have one within ten comments of the top (save your comment ads until there isn't one within ten comments of the top, otherwise it wastes comments). It seems to be the only thing that anyone on dan-ball listens to anymore. Also, uploads. As many as possible. We need to mass-manufacture them, post the codes here, and upload them. It's also a good idea that everyone that still currently uploads includes a short ad in any open space in their comic, with the URL abbreviation odbf.tk if necessary.

We need to pull a TSL on the forums, because we are dead if we don't.

PS: I, personally, was on the verge of leaving the forums earlier when people personally blamed me for the state of the forums, calling me such things as "unfun" and "boring". If you really feel that bored, you can easily make a forum game or contest. The main reason I like the forums is the semblance of respect I get here, and the feeling that I actually help people out. That's all gone now. It seems people hate me just as much as some seem to hate Listo, despite the fact that I seem to be one of the only ones trying to do something about it. I've gone from tied-with-Veers-for-the-most-respected-member-of-the-forum down to everyone's favorite scapegoat. Just ignore the PS, it doesn't relate to the thread. Please don't make random comments about how much you hate me.

I want to reccomend, for all of those who have firefox, an addon call iMacros. Not only can you automate tasks, but with the click of a bookmark you can have ads on all the coment boards in under two minutes.

That aside, the problem with lack of advertisements is, blatantly, we're becoming detached from PG. Part way because of SR, but partly of our own accord. I honestly don't play PG anymore at the moment, and i honestly might be more motivated if there was at least some presence of the game throughout the entire forum.

Ha55ii has to pay his programmers, so I'm not sure he could afford more. Anyway, despite the number of programmers, he would still have to only do one a week.

Are you sure he pays all of them? I somehow remember reading the Listo was doing it for free in his spare time. At least I would work on SR for free if he'd ask me...
