Alrighty, maybe I can get someone else to re-do it without the insignia, and with M4's nonja badges.

RPG Master
It is given to someone who makes an RPG forum game that is popular enough to get 20 pages.
ONLY RPGs would count because games where you just reply to previous posts are too easy and gain false popularity. (for example, the counting game has 43 pages, but that does not mean by FAR that is is a popular game).
Whether or not a game is considered an RPG is at the staff member's discretion.

Thats actually a good idea.
There will always be the ability to create forum games, and chances are there will always be exceedingly popular one.
I think we should have three badges:
RPG Player: For having a game reach Ten pages. If your game isn't made of fail, this may be for you
RPG Expert: For having a game reach Twenty Five pages. Looks like you came up with a recipe for win.
RPG Master: For having a game reach Fifty pages. You truly struck gold, and only select few will recieve this badge.

A few meaning me. Seriously, who else got it? That sounds good. Maybe we should just stick with one badge, though. Like, 20 or 30 pages. And, maybe we should also count something about the entire franchise, like if it's a series or whatnot.

No, because then people could spam stupid RPGs, get two pages each. Then we walk away with near-spam and false badges.
Also, i don't think you can earn badges before they are added.

Good point. But I'm talking about a certain number of RPGs that are over a certain size and released a certain time apart, where if you ask someone one the forum what a ____ is, they'll know.

that's a little subjective, though. I thing the RPG badge should be only given if a SINGLE game reaches the page quota.

Yeah, that works, but then someone with a really popular, albeit short, RPG series, would get no credit for it. Say, VIROS.

Or maybe it could be like the artsy badge and each case can be judged individually. If its short but extremely active for a while it would count, and if its semi-active but goes on for a long time it would count as well.

Or if it has a really long-reaching franchise of multi-page ones?

well, VIROS's original roleplayer's haven game was a smashing success and would have gotten him the RPG badge, but as you stated, past games wouldn't count. His recent attempts are revitalizing his game have failed. (mainly because of bad timing IMO, cause they're great games) Also, if you look at the nonja series, they have gotten forum-wide acclaim, but at the moment, there are no nonja games eligible for the badge. An element of creating an RPG is timing. it has to happen in a lull in RPG activity where people are just itching to role-play. NGI did just that (plus it was rather creative). So I don't think that an un-popular game should get it's badge because of the popularity of its predecessors. If a game is really good, and the game maker is really good at presenting it (timing, perspective, genre, etc.), then they should get the badge.

Each case, not each game. And that was talking about whether it's an RPG or not. If you are gonna quote things, please quote them in-context.

the main question is, should past successes count toward the badge?

How in hell is that the main question? We actually already answered that; No.
Damnit, man, get it straight!

Well, counting them singular thread by singular thread, I think people that have had RPGs reach this point in the past should count.

Fox, if we already settle it as no, then why did qwerty just post, "Well, counting them singular thread by singular thread, I think people that have had RPGs reach this point in the past should count. "? You realize for something to be settled, everyone has to agree? anyway, IMO it should only count for games created after the badge is in effect.

I agree with Izacque's opinion.
If the badge was not created or even thought of at the time, previous instances that could earn said badge currently appear invalid. It would be the same as a member making an expert signature before the art badge was ever made. In order for them to obtain the badge, they should make another signature which earns it, rather than the previous instance.

I propose the following remakes:
MOTM - To be Made Round and Awesome, but both are valid
Spam - A non-animated and, once again, round alternative
5, 10, and 20 Badges - Honestly, they look suckish. Remake them? kthx.
We should create the following Badges:
5,000 Posts - Because some have gotten it, and some are nowhere near, its a good idea
10,000 Posts - Honestly. Get a life. Or not, because that would kill us. Erm...
25,000 DBs - Because its a good milestone
50,000 DBs - Because skip counting is easy
100,000 DBs - Because questionable methods are still invariably legal
Additionally:
Board Owner Badge - Should be made official
Double MOTM Badge - When we add MOTM back in, I think we should have this to honor those people who have recieved MOTM twice. Which we should have rules about...

Board Owner IS official, double MOTM is pointless, the remakes are okay, but we don't really need THAT many posting milestones. We can just make a 10,000 posts one, or maybe 5,000 posts. and 10,000 dan-balls. Seems reasonable. We can't have TOO many milestone badges, it'll seem like we are trying too hard.
(about RPG master badge) No way. If people have struck gold in the past, they should be rewarded for it and not waiting for a badge to be made to release their ideas. Also, Kurai, with the art badge, I believe people could have made good art before the badge was made and still earned it. This would work the same way.
You don't need to make something for the purpose of earning the badge for it to be valid. It worked the same way with the Art badge and the Haxxor badge. It's only ever likely that any one person will strike gold once in a lifetime of RP-making. If they've already done it, why disqualify them?
