Flame thrower would shot a lot of fire at the enemy and be able to cross half the screen. It would be similar to submarine shrine boss fire attack. The flames would do 10-20 damage each hit. But the flames could not go throw land. It would cost one dollar a shot but would fire 3 flames at once and fire rapidly so it would cost a lot. Add Flame thrower ideas if you want to.

That would be um kinda bad. 10-20*3=40-60, ummm i guess it's ok if you add the stats of the character with the weapon.

...would it work underwater? Doesn't the flame staff for the priest work underwater? Doesn't the fire arrow for the sniper work underwater? Doesn't the fire rise for the magician work underwater? Doesn't the gladiators flame sword work underwater? Doesn't the grenade launcher for the gunner work underwater? Doesn't the fire whip for the whipper work underwater?

Just get a magicians fire rise, it's so much easier then creating another gunner weapon.

Grenades actually do work underwater, and aren't fire. Actual grenades, not SR grenades, I guess.

10-20 damage each hit? Would hit mean that after collision the projectile disappeared? Such is not the point of fire. Fire goes through enemies and does low damage rapidly. We may as well just have a machine-shotgun that fired 3 shots at long range rapidly or something. And I think that half the map in range is a bit excessive. That would be about 300-400 range or something? Range like that is not a good idea.

a flamethrower, interesting... may I suggest possible sand blaster (physical damage) or chemical launcher (poison damage) weapons? maybe not, since there's already a class that has physical, poison, and fire types together. XD

XD Giving birth to a knew idea, YOU. Well, let's see. Here's the character that's going on in my right now, but he would spew/shoot out whatever element or element weapon, he had. I was thinking of this class called a Spewer. I really liked the sand blaster and chemical launcher Idea. Perhaps he could be similar to the magician and have actual elements? IE: Sand Fire Water Poison Etc. For a more interesting take on this character, he could turn the color of the element, too.

now that you mention it, a water spewer would be a cool idea. XD either way, thanks! as far as it goes, I'd think that the weapons would have low AGI (5-10), but do somewhat low damage, and with the cost you mentioned above. though some weapons such as the sand and water spewers wouldn't need the money cost.

Hm, rethinking this, it sounds very similar to the "Player" class from Powder game.. Which was proven to be a bad idea.

I think half the screen range is a bad idea. 1. Because it would probably take ages to make it work properly. 2. In the real world, water beats fire. If there was a water creature, the flame thrower wouldn't work. 3. Some people prefer a challenge. If you give them a long range weapon, no extra challenge. Some people would be glad but others, like I said, prefer the challenge. In fact, if you did that, I would say about 10-30 range would be better. 10-20 damage is perfect, but perhaps not the thing about a dollar per shot. Some people would rather spend their SR money on weapons, not firing some dumb weapon! Also, perhaps have 2 versions of the flame thrower. 1 fires just one shot and the 2nd one fire 2 shots because, seriously, 3 shots per aim is too much, and its a little too easy if you get the larger amount of shots instantly, of which sniper is a good example of that. Maybe it would be better not to have a flame thrower.......

Erm... Guys? The weapons are already decided. Haven't you noticed how all the level 3 and 4 weapons are upgrades of the 1 and 2?

Hmmm. Maybe at level 5.. But that's a while away, and this'll probably be forgotten.
