Probably not all that great an idea, but I figured: why not try?
Hardcore mode: -No reviving, if a character dies, they STAY dead. This means a game over really is GAME OVER. This is for experts obviously. --Inn heals for free, but doesn't revive -Enemies have doubled HP -Stickmen have doubled HP -EXP gains multiplied [2* or 10*?] -Gold drops doubled or more
Thoughts?

So, it's easier to play, but if you lose, you lose forever?

Perhaps stickmen would have half HP rather than doubled? I'm more interested the response to the basic idea than the details.

Sounds a lot like just going ahead onto higher levels when your low leveled, despite some things here and there.
Edit: as for the dieing idea, just don't revive your teammates?

Oh, right, I could do that. I suppose I was just trying to keep the idea of a different game setting for experts. I'll think things through a little more before just spouting off ideas again. But while I'm here, any thoughts on the possibility of a Poison-type Mage Orb? Perhaps an enemy-piercing projectile like fire, but rather than falling and inflicting damage on enemies, it would be closer to a bullet, and inflict weak/mild poison on any enemy it touches.

I just noticed a flaw though, people can just use get set all the time and load there team.

Yeah, they could, but it would make boss battles harder.

In that case, maybe pressing "Get" should return any code if one selects "Hardcore" setting? If that is made to be the case, one would not be able to go back with the same team (except by recreating the team from start-up all over again).
One problem with disabling Get/Set for Hardcore mode is that people won't be able to resume from interrupted games. If the browser crashes, or if the session is closed when cookies are disabled (if cookies will even be used...), then a player has to start from scratch.

No reviving is great as I often kill my team and just open street them to full health making the game so easy as you never lose money (and yet you may end up gaining it) and you gain exp even if it is only 1 point at a time.
Free Inn make sense
Enemies with double hp make sense
Why double the stick ranger HP? That would kill the idea above.
exp make sense as a reward for playing on this setting ^same for gold.
I think it is a great idea overall and may even be helpful for those who just want to try a weapon out. Not only they could level and get money fast for it but with double hp on monsters they could test it pretty well too.
As for set/load, ever play a rougelike game? It a game based on the idea that you can't reset in real life. The same is saved (easily can be done with a cookie) but when you die the save file is deleted and you force to restart.

The problem is that cookies aren't very reliable.
