The Phoenix Military operates four corps.*
Armored Corps
The Armored Corps is the primary fighting force of the Phoenix Military. If it rolls on land, it's operated by the Armored Corps. Phoenix Military Doctrine makes minimal usage of infantry combat, so the primary fighting force is Main Battle Tanks, though Rocket Artillery is commonly fielded in a support role, and Armored Battalions contain Anti-Air units. Infantry is used where required, for which APCs, AFVs, and Combat Trucks are commonly used - many Armored Battalions contain infantry forces.
Aireal Corps
The Aireal Corps is a major componet of the Phoenix Military, placed in charge of effectively everything that flys. The Aireal Corps primarily makes usage of aerodynes and gunships, in a ground-support, ground-assault, or aireal-superiority role. For the most part, the Aireal Corps utilizes modular-armament gunships and assault aerodynes. Also operating largely in a support role, the Aireal Corps also fields D56 Dropships, which, while sometimes found in combat, usually lift and move just about anything that can and should be moved.
Aireal Corps, operating independant from ground-based support and rarely from a base of operations, field a modified version of the D56 specifically designed for burdening the fuel and munitions of the aireal unit. As Phoenix Aireal Doctrine does not typically call for any form of a base of operations, equipment is designed to withstand rough landings and hotdrops, capable of touching down just about anywhere that's flat.
Naval Corps
The Phoenix Naval Corps operates everything that moves on (or in rare occasions, under) the ocean. The Naval Corps operates almost exclusively in a transport and support role, providing transportation and fire support over long ranges for other units. Naval Doctrine is focused around 'superunits,' massive freighters, carriers, and assault ships that are designed to let all hell loose. A single ship can be the equivalent of an entire company.
The Naval Corps operates a number of massive aircraft carriers. Specialized Naval versions of Aireal equipment are fielded - mainly combat oriented, while some dropships are present; fuel and munitions carriers are unneccesary - and are capable of reigning hell on anything within range of their base of operations - their home ships. As such, tactics and command structure of Aireal Forces and Aeronaval forces are completely seperate.
Internal Operations Service (IOS)
The Internal Operations Service is not actually a combat branch of the Phoenix, nor does it follow a standardly ranked heirarchy. The IOSR operates several divisions, including, but not limited to;
IOSR >> Internal Operations Service; Reconnaisence
IOSP >> Internal Operations Service; Police
IOSTS >> Internal Operations Service; Tactical Strategy
IOSI >> Internal Operations Service; Intelligence
* While not offically canon, PHX does operate an extraplanetary navy.
