New class: Gunner.
I can't say more than that till I'm on the computer.

Standard guns start out with 2-6 attack and 60 range, the shortest of the starting ranges in my group.
I started a new game with two gunners, one magician, and one priest. I like ranged people...

I'm going to check what enemies drop guns, grab the code and make a Gun/Box/Mag/Pri game.

Blue Xs drop handguns, which are simply standard issue guns with 8-12 attack.

I have the computer! The gunner seems a rather simple class, basically aim at enemy and make it die with bullets. I have to get a better gun though.
OH CRAP. The later guns are like arrows in the NES Legend of Zelda. THEY USE MONEY. A handgun uses $1 per shot. It might be cause of the MP he has. You need 5 MP to activate it, and if you're low on MP, you use money to make up the difference. I hope though. I'll find out when I get to level 8.

I totally expected the addition of the gunner within the next updates. Why? Because I've already seen its image and the gun's image in the game source. I have to start a gunner game ... /me

Quite good start for Gunner class 4 guns available, hope we will get more with next updates. For now the shotgun is best of all. About 6 bullets with average 10.5dmg (with no str) give us average 63dmg per shot (6-120) PS. with 4 mag i pay 11$ for shotgun shot

gah, stop cheating Here you go: drops.txtIf you don't want to look at it, don't. If the majority of the forum doesn't want to, I'll keep it to myself.

I'm currenty more interested in the stat behaviour ... The Gunner doesn't seem to have the normal linear behaviour like the other classes. (see danball.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:Gunner ) /me

ok, what I've learned so far
STR does NOT increase his damage, it seems fixed based on the gun (makes sense)
DEX DOES increase his AGI
Magic affects how much money a gun costs to fire for instance
Handgun - 5 MP
ths means it costs 5 gold per shot to fire, however, if you have, say, 3 MP, it will only cost 2 to fire
basically
money cost = weapon's MP value - Gunner's MAG value

STR DOES increase damage, but very slowly. Look at the wiki page posted by me2. I didn't verify his numbers, but I have 14 Str and gun does 2-7, Handgun 10-15 and Shotgun (with red stone +5 Str) does 1-27 damage. And Mag does reduce the cost, but every bullet costs at least 1$ (if it wasn't free to begin with). So if you have 20 Mag, a Handgun shot will still cost 1$, the same as a Shotgun shot at 20 Mag...

So best thing to do with Gunner is chuck all the points into Dex/Mag.

I shouldn't have kept saying at least they didn't add guns for pg..... When I saw this update I was thinking "Dear god, please don't be for the powder game. Just please don't put guns in the powder game." It turned out to be pretty cool although the cost of the bullets will be a money hog if you've got a full team of them. Also, who drops what guns? I haven't found one gun yet and I level 7. I would check with my older account, but it isn't loading.

I just agree with one of the possibly "smarter" members of the community who said that the whole gunner, desperado thing kinda took away from the whole feel of this RPG being a medieval game.
However, I do love the whole thing, as SR players can laugh at the jealous PG players as we happily fire our very expensive guns.
