Plasma rifle: thunder type gun. Shoots a beam that can go through enemies. I predict this or some type of laser gun in ensuing updates. I will be very surprised if I'm wrong, for reasons I will refrain from disclosing.

Minigun- VERY fast shooting, low damage, costly ammo Type: Physical AT 1-2 AG 10-15 $$ 10 I hate it when noobs decide they can come up with good stats. The sub machine gun shoots faster, causes more damage, and even costs less. A real minigun shoots 20 mm rounds at 3000 rounds per minute. your normal sniper rifle uses smaller caliber rounds, so it would do more damage than the sniper rifle, and it would fire a LOT faster than a sub machine gun. (1-1 AGI) This is what a minigun in action looks like. To make a gun this deadly you would have to make it cost something stupid like 200$ to fire, and at that point you would only be able to fire it for a few seconds before burning all your cash making it only good for killing bosses when you have 10k+ cash.

I think one of the major problems I have with the Gunner class is that only DEX really alters the attack. MAG reduces ammo cost, but if those shots don't do much damage then whats the point? STR is kind of just hanging there. It takes too many points to get a single point upgrade. It's more effective to use the +AT(1-3) crystal, which has the effect of around 15-20 STR.
Basically, Gunner doesn't scale.
To fix this, I have a few suggestions (and the reasoning behind them): 1) Move the DEX effect (AGI reduction) to STR. Guns have recoil, and firing a gun and keeping it roughly on target for another shot takes muscles. 2) Have DEX do the following two things. First, it applies the minor damage boost that STR had. Second, it increases the CRIT percent of the attack by 0.0025% per point (10% at 40 DEX.) The reasoning for this is that DEX would affect your ability to aim. Since there's no real accuracy rating in the game, this can by emulated by giving a chance for increased damage.

I mean like this gun should be able to shoot up to 1-2 AG.
The reason this costs more is that it spreads, does more damage and the bullets are slightly bigger.
Nvm, anyways, no, I would just want like a heavy weapon that would do more damage in a Split Amount of time. 1-2 or 1-1 AG. and it spreads.
By the way, Pickle, are you even programming SSB SE?

Subzero, Pickle's been banned.
The gunner only "wastes" money at the start of the game, when money's scarce. Get 14 MAG and a Shotgun, and he'll be biblically useful.

Back on topic, I find that the Gunner needs to have more weaponry, or better weaponry, because I've solved the moneycrunch problem, but now I'm finding that he's lacking in firepower.

The gunner does need more weapons, but the priest got new weapons the first update with the priest. Just be glad we have some guns right now. I know that some people like faster shooting weapons that cost more as opposed to slow shooting weapons that cause more damage for the money, but I would prefer more damage for the money I’m spending. Also, the gunner’s range stinks. It needs upgraded really badly, or at least a gun with a longer range. I also think that the gunner will be the most versatile class due to the different weapons that he will have. (Right now I think that rests with the magician, but that's just me.) Back off topic, I am not pickle man. (And I never was. This is me if anyone was wondering.) "LOL, I got a mod to run an IP check... this is a RETARDED coincidence. Pickleman got banned a few hours ago and has made numerous accounts. " Lol.

As a blanket reply to everyone who seems to think that I've been reading the source code, I don't.
I was pointing out that they didn't use his ideas. They put the next week's update into the game's code when they update it. (I gathered this much by reading the forums, not the source code.)

I presume you're saying that since an update takes a full week to make, ideas for the update must have been made a week in advance of the update itself (e.g. 3.5 ideas made after 3.4 release). If an idea was made a week in advance, then it must have come before any similar, coincidental ideas that were formed later on in the week.
Why is this thread still active when there is a Version 3.5 (rhetorical question - don't answer)?
