Holy blip! They're updating the game VERY quickly! ?? They always update once a week. But yes, SR is expanding rather quickly. I remembered the ol' days where the Grey Boss Smiley was the end of the game... SR has indeed come far.

And when you had 10SP per level up - making uber characters was fun =P

Very interessting stage. I like it! Some new physics! New enemies. Also it's not an easy stage. Disabling the autoswim feature is a good choice, because Boxer and Gladiators like to swim into huge swarms. But without the swimming it doesn't look that cool anymore. /mePS: Do you like puzzles?

What's the puzzle? Also, this update really works well. The swimming animation's very smooth, and the speed they can swim at is rather cool. The boss is going to be a bit more difficult as its shots HOME IN.

The image shows the solved puzzle. The the puzzle parts are the included screenshots of the levels. The image proves more or less, that every level is generated by randomly selecting a certain section in a long, continuous landscape (Which is probably about 5 screen width long). Then the right and left sides of this section are widened to provide a plattform to the stick rangers and the next sign. And this is the level screen in which you have to play. It took me a while to get enough screenshots to connect every part together. If I have time I build a real continuos screenshot of the lake landscape. /me

I like the new update. The thing i find interesting is that you can still attack while you are in the water, but not on the bottom. I am still playing the levels right now, so I havent seen the boss.
Edit: Now that I have played it, I think it is the most challenging level on the map.

I sure hope fire attacks don't work in this level...

If I have time I build a real continuos screenshot of the lake landscape. Not if bewnt gets there first! img187.imageshack.us/img187/6793/lakele7.pngIt's around 330-334 tiles long. Perhaps I'll do the same for the rest of the terrains? (BTW thanks for the inspiration me2) soccerking: it probably is the most challenging, no doubt. zach: (un)fortunately they do. So does Iron Sword.

I actually heard this rumour about the level generation months ago (I don't remember who told me). At that time I thought: "Well, it's possible, but it could also be a real generator." When the Hill Country levels came out, it started to become more and more obvious, that this guy was true. But I haven't had the time to check it. But now the landscape of the Lake was soooo characteristic with lots of feature points, I simply had to check it.
Lucky bewnt! You actually saw the end with the shore. I don't have a screenshot of that.
/me
PS: I have to finish the stage building template. Then we can create a completely clean version. And the wikia server will suffer!!! *hrhrhr*

I did not win all of the levels leading up to the boss. I need to find the code for my good game and use that. I think that thunder would work very well for the Lake levels.

Great level. You know, when I was playing, I saw two things that I thought were hilarious. 1. When one of the fish was coming after my gladiator, I dragged him over to general safety over at the shore. The fish was still chasing my guy at considerable speed, so he flew out of the water and got himself stuck between the chunks of land! I lolled at that. 2.When I saw the Lake boss, I thought immediately: "Oh crap! It's a freaking' shark! I'M GONNA DIE!

Well, I played the level.
It was really cool, and of course all types of weapons (physical, poison, fire, ice, thunder, etc.) still work underwater to prevent a class from being rendered less competent than another. The swimming is nice and some of the physics of being underwater are simulated, but one part I don't like (which should be kept nonetheless) is that flinging a ranger to the opposite side of the stage doesn't work out so well from all of the water resistance.
I like it. I actually gained three percentage points from it, too.
And thanks to the wiki team for taking care of updates. For one thing, it saves me the trouble of counting enemies!

The ratio between water and giant man eating fish is screwed.... that level is hard! Hopefully the ultima weapons are effective on this level......
By the way: The 70 mag for saber is not outragous at all. Get 10 mag and special every seven attacks....

Me likey. It's cool seeing the people swim while massacring angry sea-critters :3 It's not extremely hard but provides a bit of a challenge. It was much easier to complete with my team of MSGB than my SSMM team. I wish there were some cool new weapons though D:
