The forest has a nice fog effect and a new tile set for the landscape. I guess we need the book to do good screenshots for the wiki. Theres a new species: Mushrooms. They attack only when they get attacked. Also two portals have appeared. I think this means, we are not going to swim to the island. And somebody really loves to break our established enemy naming schemes for the wiki ... /me

No, but for the last update we created a naming scheme for the wiki which is based on the head and the body of each enemy, for example: "Smiley Fish", "Skull Fish", "Smiley Snake", "Skull Snake", "Fairy Snake", "Skull Stickman", and so on ... The problem is the name for the body of the mushroom. You could call those two boxes "plant" (although mushrooms are more close to animals than plants). If we would follow our old system, we would have to name like "cap mushroom" or "mushroom plant", which is not very good. I guess we have to make an exception here, and only use a one-word name, instead of a two-word name... Btw: also take a look at the blog entry (translated)

Not found any medals yet. I'm going through Forest 1, and I've noticed the Mushroom Farts poison the rangers for a short time, which is why no red numbers fly off. And about that small island, I don't think it would be possible to swim over, cause then there's be water between the island and mainland, wouldn't there?

All medals are in lake stage, dropped by different enemies.
You can sell them for 250 each.

Hm, okay... And getting killed by poison leaves your ranger green. As seen here: And Mushrooms are immune to poison. As seen here: This is quite the level for firsts, imo. Rangers can suffer Status Effects, enemies that're immune to status effects. What's next? Well, the Boss Level's interesting. A bunch of Poison Mushrooms and three Blastcaps. The Blastcap will only attack when attacked, and upon taking damage, will shoot three damaging spores at the nearest rranger, hurting, but not poisoning them. They're easily killed by a Gladiator, if you can move him between the spores, that is. They're immune to poison damage like the Poison Mushrooms. Other than that, rather boring boss, fighter in, hacky hacky slash slash, fighter out to avoid spores, lather, rinse, repeat until dead. They drop $300. I've found a Gold Medal! When equipped, it'll either add 10% to any gold you find, or increase gold drops from enemies killed by the medalled ranger by 10%. I'm thinking the latter, so let's test it out!

Thats how medals look like.. if anyone interested. Gold Medal +10% gold UP So you get 110 instead of 100 Dropped by the small orange fish Silver Medal +10% Onigiri drop Dropped by the weed in lake.. the purple one Bronze medal +10% drop rate Dropped by the bigger, green fish

Here's hoping the Boss Fish drops a Platinum Medal, +10% EXP And the ONIGIRI's Card has changed stats, I think. It's now a 5% chance of ONIGIRI drop per hit. Right, cause I forgot to check the game for if it was saving, I now have ANOTHER gold medal. 2, to be precise. SoI equipped my Magician with one. It doesn't matter who has it equipped, as long as the medal's equipped to one of the rangers, it affects everyone. This is very good for gold. This could also be good if the effect is the same with the Bronze Medal, cause we can all use droprates, can't we?

Here's hoping the Boss Fish drops a Platinum Medal, +10% EXP There isn't a fouth medal. I've checked the book. kierovnick, could you maybe create a PNG (or even BMP) image of the medals? JPG is bad! I would create the images for the wiki from it. /mePS: Image of Book Forest 1 (without fog):

Yeah, I know, I also checked the book.
And why's JPG bad?
Edit: Gold Medals can stack! Have one on each ranger, and you'll get an extra 40% cash!

I don't know if my computer is just slow today, but I think I noticed 2 things: 1:I think that our rangers' line of sight are lessened by the fog. 2:I also think that the fog slows your guys when you throw them around, but that could just be my computer being slow

The level seems sort of easy for having to get as far as as the castle gate.... so it looks like the castle isn't going to be as important anymore.....

to subzeroten:i dont think they move, but rather fade in and out to sigh: 1 i think is possible, 2 i dont think. and my opinion: seems good! i think the portals are going to turn big soon, maybe you can change worlds there or something. as for there, i find it a challenge. it also tells people to ditch the four gladiator tactic. get some snipers and mages! and, to those who i already know are scared of the size, i thingk it will turn larger when we get there ( it zooms in on it.)
p.s: get some items in there!

The "caves" are supposedly portals... Also two portals have appeared. I think this means, we are not going to swim to the island. ...or so some people seem to assuming.
