What are some of your theories on stuff? how did we get here? how was matter created? how far does the universe go? stuff like that. any sort of theory or idea you have, post it here so we can talk about it, or criticize it and send you into a crushing despair of embarrassment and stupidity! ...(ok maybe not that far)

Well, I believe (and will always believe) that God created the universe, life and everything. There is way more proof that proves the Bibleis TRUE than against the Bible.

I have a scientific & religeous side. I believe that god caused the big bang, and so forth.

Really, if god did not create teh big bang, who or what did?

[glow=red,2,300]saza don't double post and the universe i think spans for

OUr univers is one of many.............
the bigband was caused by a blackhole colapseing i think.........and no theres not much theory about the bible being true...............i will belive in god when i see someone die for no reason and live agian.......no one can make me belive

k, cool guys. I was kinda hoping for a bit more explanations of said theories. but this works i guess. but lets do this in an orderly fashion. first, lets talk about the beginning- the big bang, premortal realm, where did today's matter come from?, who is God and where did he come from (if you believe in him).......(or her??). all that stuff.

Seriously, with a title like that, who can't say 42?

My beleif is actually different scientific theories held together by my own net:
1:Big bang never happendd in 1 area do to fact nothing can be in same space as something else. So i come to believe a flame thrower sorta theory constant out burst from one area for a mass period of time.
2: Life came from a small rock with first bacteria that broke up and scattered around earth general location. these eventually bread so differently they became complete different species.
3.oh and hwo did god create the big bang? like on faamily guy where god just farted into a lighter or what?
4: MD ur talking about what is callled a multi verse where nearly symetrical universes are all around i believe that too

You fail to understand the big band (I can't say those morons from MIT got it right either, though...nothing against MIT). The theory whas that everything was squished intothis area, not in the same area alltogether.
if you take the whit part of bread and mash it until it's a little ball, you condensed the innards of the bread.
Kinda the same thing as the BB, no?

it is the same...except the bread doesn't explode back out at you at any time like the BB did.
My theory: 1 universe,1 god, infinite space, but finite matter. Big Bang occurred with all matter (except dark and anti) squished into an extremely tight space. as with the theory of the LHC, when matter is crushed at extreme pressure like in a black hole, you get anti-matter. and we all know that Anti + (normal?) matter = Energy -> reformation of previous matter. this is how all the matter in the universe exploded because of the anti-matter coming into contact with it, thus causing a chain reaction of explosions that we call the Big Bang.

That is a way to put it, yes.
Personally, I answer all those question with 42, but I hate it when people think you cannot have had evolution and the big bang separately... I mean, many people who believe in evolution do not believe in the big bang, or they believe in both. Has anyone thought that the big bang can be true while evolution is not? This is not what I personally believe, as I believe in evolution, but not the big bang. This is actually due to the fact that much of the 'evidence' used to support the big bang can also be used to support many other alternate theories. Sure, the big bang may have happened, but all the other theories have the same likelihood of having happened. I will not choose to fully believe in one until there is more evidence that it happened, and not any of the other theories. You may be surprised how many people would agree with me. However, I believe in the big bang just as much as all of the other alternate theories, and if evidence comes along to prove the others wrong, I would be happy to change my mind. I refuse to believe completely in the big bang simply because it is the one people are told about in school.
If anyone sees a break in my logic, please tell me and let me fix it.

Truthfully, my theory is that when the omniverse was crammed all into one specific area, the pressure caused the whole spot to explode, otherwise known as the Big Bang. Planets, stars, and everything else was sent all over the void of space. Over time, everything found their place, and planets began taking orbits. Life began forming, then evolving.
Thus becoming our present time.
Just my theory. Although I'm Christian, I think God had nothing to do with it.

I bolded and underlined the important parts of the text... I don't think I'm compatible with your odd information. My brain just vomited.

hmm... sounds messy. he is saying, when antimatter touches matter, both turn into energy.

That's total crap for me. I proved mathematically, phisically, and through reality that antimatter CANNOT EXIST. AND FINITE MATTER....

You proved it physically? How?
Scientists have already created a few atoms of antimatter...

Well, I believe (and will always believe) that God created the universe, life and everything. There is way more proof that proves the Bibleis TRUE than against the Bible. I KNEW IT! YOU STARTED THE MASSIVE FLAME WAR ON THE GREAT DEBATE CAUSING SEVERAL PEOPLE TO START ANGRILY INSULTING EACH OTHER FOR LITTLE REASON! IT WAS YOU! EDIT: sorry about the double post...the two didn't fit well together. DELETED POST 1

Do you know what confuses me? The Big Bang Theory of Creation doesn't explain how the entities came to exist to explode in the first place...
