And bacteria. They can survive in almost all climates.

That would SUCK if bacteria were like rats! IMPOSSIBLE TO EXTERMINATE, THEY TAKE OVER THE WORLD! *dramatic music*

Bacteria are hard to kill. Take for example extremophiles. They can live at the bottom of the ocean in the vents if the Earth.

I just read through the topic and noticed there's a lot of mention about a meteor ending all of us. Does the text describing the disaster mention interstellar boulders at all? For all we know, we could be killed by a super-volcano eruption.

Yup. There is a super volcano in Yellow Park in America, which could kill us all.....

That's true TDM but It's very unlikely it will erupt. It is inactive as of now.

Really?! What's the name of the volcano?! I've never heard of it...!

It doesn't have a name but it's called a Caldera. It's a GIGANTIC hole/volcano that was created from a previous eruption. There is one in Indonesia as well.

No, it is due to erupt every 20000 years....and guess when it last erupted. 20000 years ago. Heh.

Don't worry. We all have to die of something and I'm very sure one of the things we have discussed will kill us all, but never mind. Blimey, I'm optimistic........

I hope Yellowstone doesn't explode. It's really pretty. I want something boring, ugly, useless, and man-made to explode. Maybe Stonehenge?

Yeah.....pointless, no meaning, and the National Heritage still wants to preserve it. Whats the point of it?

Well, if it is a volcano that ends the world, then if the lava doesn't kill us, then the resulting nuclear winter would...

Always look on the bright side of life.... I don't think that qoute appeals to this current situation. If the volcano eruputed, or an asteroid hit earth, everything will be made worse by our own nuclear missles exploding right into are faces. Damn atomic scientists......

That is probably the end of the world: someone sabotages a few WMDs, sends a few Zimmerman notes here and there, and causes WWIII.
