I have come to the conclusion that ,if anything, humanity will end 2 million yearss from now due to a collision between our galaxy and the Andromeda galaxy. Not in 3 years because the mayans said so.

No. Yes, they will collide, but we wont notice at all. The distance between stars is HUGE. They will pass without any bother.

Yes, but I doubt there won't be any... probably a few here and there.

you mean 3 billion, not 2 million

There is nothing to worry about because of the 'collision'

well, we could probably leave the galaxy by then

Well, i dont think so. Even if we travel at light speed, which is impossible fo us, it will takes millenias.

millenias is a long time for us. I mean, we're gonna get hit by a giant F* GALAXY

Yea, but like we were saying, there is virtually no chance of being involved in a collision.

It's heading straigh towards us. We should do our best to realise that

No, but no stars or systems will actually hit eachother, they are so far apart they shall drift through without any harm to us.

Do you know what a galaxy is!? The space in between solar systems is filled with rocks that orbit bigger rocks that orbit bigger rocks! Those trillions of rocks WILL collide with the force of 8 BILLION megatons of energy! Plus, there will be collisions between solar systems! Worst scenario, both the Milky Way's and the Andromeda's supermassive black holes will collide and rip a hole in space itself!

Well then... um... *kills self*

No, there will be actual no collisions. True, the black holes will cause problems, but the stars and rocks are billions of light years away from eachother. Do you know how far apart asteroids are from eachother in an asteroid belt? If about 5 metres, you've watched star wars to much. Its about 1000 miles apart from eachother (i'll double check). The chance of to bodies colliding are miniscule.

Worst scenario, both the Milky Way's and the Andromeda's supermassive black holes will collide and rip a hole in space itself! SPACETIME IS NOT A F*ING SHEET YOU CAN TEAR A HOLE IN. YOU CANNOT FREAKING ALTER SPACE OR TIME, BOTH OF WHICH ARE SEPARATE AND NON-INTERACTIVE.

SM, you do get worked up over a tiny little misunderstanding...

Only because it's a misunderstanding people base ALL OF PHYSICS ON!
