WOW, have we gotten off topic...

Well then, lets get BACK ON TOPIC! What a wonderful idea.

Global Warming is fake. There was a study two years ago that concluded that the Earth's temperature was decreasing over a ten year period. It's Global Freeezing!

Yes that is caused by the ice caps melting, bringing fresh water into the sea and stopping warm currents. Hopefully global warming will cancel out global cooling, as in the same way an asteroid plugging a volcano.

Spaghetti Cat, you are right. Many scientists today believe that the world is just as or more likely to encounter a worldwide cooldown than we are global warming. Unfortunately, many scientists are pressured to support the theory of global warming as to support the 'all powerful' agenda of the country's liberals.

Cant people have a right to think what they want to?

Global Temperature change is a major problem.

Exactly TDM, I feel you.

I agree, edit. The world's temperature is most certainly changing. As to which way it is moving, well, that's the question...

I thought global warming caused global cooling, like in the movie The Day After Tomorrow...
...of course, that's only a movie...

Well, that would actually happen... Due to decreased salinity...

The Day After Tomorrow was completely un-geographically correct, with global cooling happening in a week. It shall happen over at least 50 years.

So what's the consensus here? How many think...
A. Global Cooling is happening but isn't our fault
B.Global Cooling is happening and is our fault
C.Global Warming is happening but isn't our fault
D.Global Warming is happening and is our fault
E.There is no sort of Global Temperature Change going on

I sort of agree with B and D

|

Post by V.I.R.O.S. on Mar 4, 2009 15:00:04 GMT -5
You think both are happening at once?
|
|
|
Post by mattaroni on Mar 4, 2009 16:32:00 GMT -5
I would have to agree with C.

|
Post by General Veers on Mar 4, 2009 16:36:34 GMT -5
B and D. One is the result of another. I do realize that disaster from Global warming/cooling could never happen over the course of a single year, but I still believe that the general idea that one causes the other is true...

Whatever process is happeneing, we are accelarating it. Humans are basically just a virus that buggers the world up. I sound like Mr.Smith from Matrix: Evolutions....

I think that global temperature change is, for the most part, a cyclic process...

Post by General Veers on Mar 4, 2009 19:30:58 GMT -5
It is a cyclic process that is being exaggerated by human industrial activity. I don't know why some people I come across think it is only one thing or another...
[offtopic]...and I'm quite fond of Mr. Smith and its philosophy. If I couldn't be an Imperial Officer, I would be an Agent. The virus speech was in the original Matrix, not Matrix: Revolutions.[/offtopic]
