That would be quite entertaining to watch...

Nuclear power plants? ? They pump their waste through huge tubes which causes heavy damage to the atmosphere!!!!!!!! Hydrogen powered cars would help. OMG *bangs head* The only emission of nuclear power is the water vapor that is sizzled away during the cooling process! Also, supply of uranium is vast, especially if we decide to dismantle the arsenal. Finally, the only issue is nuclear waste, depleted uranium left over after the cycle is completed. This can be jettisoned into space for $1 billion per year. Pretty small, especially compared to the "stimulus" package. The expenses will be balanced out by the Nil effect on the environment.

In other words, we don't have to worry about many of those problems.

BTW i did a report on wind energy and it's not the most expensive of the renewable energy sources, though it is expensive. Sadly it kills birds though its like 100 every year. And if people think they're ugly than too bad! it's better than running out of fuel.

I like killing birds, and it is inefficient too. Awww... think of all the rotting bird carcasses.... so I propose nukulear.

But all the toxic waste! It pollutes so badly!

That's what I said... In the U.K, our government has introduced a scheme which they give £2000 if you buy an electric car. I'm glad they're are at least trying to do something, even if the idea hasn't caught on yet. Anyway, the elesctric car has it's flaws. It can only go 40miles at a time without charging and some people won't but them because they say 'it looks strange'. IT'S OUT BLOODY SURVIVAL WE'RE TALKING ABOUT.

Ugh.... the toxic waste is contained and non-polluting. Shooting it into space will get rid of it and probably attract some alien life Anyway, the electric cars of today can not only drive you nowhere but also most have 1-Star crash safety rating, which means that they are not roadworthy and will likely kill you instantaneously.

Oh well, what we need is every car off the road and install a tram-line system in all cities.

I think the only way we could stop the effects is if everyone worked together. And nobody in this stupid and selfish world works together apart from a select million or two.

Tram line wouldn't work.... everybody operates on a different schedule, you'd have to keep it moving 24/7, which wouldn't allow people to get on or off. Also, it would probably interfere with itself, and where would the stops be? Even in NYC, with all the subways, you still have to walk a few blocks to get to your destination or even transfer lines.

Yeah, a tram-line would definetly bring up some problems. I think I would lean towards to the utilization of nuclear power.
