No. We ultimately (or primitively, which implies being first) evolved from protocells, the predecessors to cells and the first living things on Earth.
Even if I had nothing to add, do not ever lock a debate thread.

Oh yes, debate threads are not ever locked. Never. They remain open for all eternity... even thread bumping is fine here, provided the person provides new ideas.

How can you get new ideas of how man came along? We are part of a computer program? Interesting thought...

I have actually heard that theory several times before...
I see the matrix! It is clear now!
*disconnects*

Maybe we are the result of a expirement done like this: In the beggining there were beings who were very technologiclly advanced and wanted to know wexactly how they came about so.. They made a miniature version of how their universe happended to see exactly what happens in history but something went wrong the mini universe contriniued growing and growing wiping out all of existence until somewhere on a lone asteroid a comet hit it. The acids in the asterid combined with the water on the comet made life. Life which began hurtling through space and hit earth.

In one of the old episodes (the old series in 1980's or whatever) there was some gloopy animo acid and life began when an alien ship took off, giving off a collossal amount of energy to make life from the acid.
