I'm terrified it will come over to my area :X
BUT The news and stuff doesn't tell you how many have been infected -> cured just infected -> died. So it makes you think is it really all that bad? Like, say, 1000 people have been infected. Thenews would say that 100 have died, but not tell you that it's out of 1000. Maybe 900 have been cured. ((that was just an random example))

I wouldn't worry about it too much, it has only killed people in Mexico, where it originated. In the U.K, we have enought anti-biotics that work against swine flu to cure half the country.

You could just be having a normal flu. Have you been to Mexico recently by any chance, or met someone who has?

It's just another attempt to scare everyone into a flurry. SARS, Avian Flu, Foot and Mouth. Now swine flu? Inspector Gadget couldn't reach far enough to get that one.

Meh, the last time there was a swine flu pandemic in Britain only killed about 30,00 people, but things are better now. The news is being very pessimistic, they might as well have [glow=black,2,300]'DEATH'[/glow] written on the TV screen.

Here's the deal:
All influenza viruses have a chance to kill. Every year, many people die from influenza. Swine Flu is a big issue because it used to be transferred from pig-human but now it is human-human, and therefore being a new strain it will be more prone to infect people. Also, doctors do not know exactly how to treat it yet, but tamiflu seems to work. I don't think it's a big deal.

It only kill's bed bound people (weak). Active people will be fine. Not true. Even active people can be infected. In September 1988, a previously healthy, pregnant, 32-year-old woman had been hospitalized for pnuemonia(Is that how it's spelled?). 8 days later, she died. Research shows that she had been to a county fair. With infected pigs. This is an example of it(Although it did happen.)to show that everyone can be infected by diseases, although I believe healthier people have a better chance of survival.
