Nonsense. Many people have been hospitalized. And not people in their 40s or 50s. It's been all manner of ages. Little kids, teens, and so on.
Swine flu doesn't automatically come to the 'weak' or the elderly. It comes from pigs that are infected, and can be passed on to other life forms.

There are two confirmed cases in the Dallas County area. O.O If anybody in the area of the school district gets it, they are temporarily shutting down the schools...

No we were just talking about it in social studies today. We watched a cnn student news on it. Only one person has had a severe case. Most have been mild. And it said that unlike most viruses that harm kids and elderly more, the swine flu seems to be attacking those who are middle aged.

Social Studies? It's science, not history. My science teacher says that there has been quite a few serious cases, and a ton of deaths from swine influenza.
The swine flu affects everyone. It's logic, Phoenix. It can spread from anyone. It originates from pigs, maybe passed to ther pigs, passed to humans, passed to more humans. This can become a pandemic.

Viruses spread in different ways. In the U.S. only one person has had a serious case, as they had to stay in the hospital. The others in the U.S. were mild, like a normal flu. In Mexico there have been, if i am not mistaken, 12 deaths, and many serious cases. No matter what, im in MN, so it's far away from me.

Just because someone with a serious case was kept hospitalized doesn't mean it could have spread. Pigs may have spread it. Many unknown deaths happen, and it is true that there is more than one serious case.

County (without an "r"), NOT country (with an "r").
An American county is a heck of a lot smaller than an American state...

Well, it depends on the size of the county...
Anyway, I believe there have been under 100 people dead from this disease, and all of them in Mexico. It cannot be ignored that not a single person in the US has died.

It cannot be ignored that not a single person in the US has died. That implies that nobody in the United States died, but at least one person in the United States DID die, no?
