I think we should better organize the staff system. Yes, this would mean a few demotions and promotions. Hopefully we will be able to keep our current staff, even if they don't keep their rank. Anyway, my idea; We should assign moderators to a board that: They are highly active in, They behave well in
So, a moderator for each board of every game. Then, an admin that rules over each category, and then high staff who rule over the whole forum, and then the Admin account. This would require more staff ranks, such as "Games Admin" "General Admin" "Contests Admin" (who is the head of the contest judges)
I also think the contest judges should have their own board in the staff lounge, that only they and the high staff can access. High staff includes: Security admin Head Admin Site Owner Co Owner
I also think we should re-arrange rankings where they're best suited; E.G. nobody should be a security admin unless they know basics in HTML and Javascript, as the only major advantage of Security admins are High-staff powers and Footer access. Please tell me what you think of these ideas and feel free to add suggestions.

I like it, but I like GLOBALLY moderating....
Also, I would love a promotion' if we have to. Seeing somebody got immediatly promoted to Head Admin....rather than staff with more expirience..

Will the demotions/re-positions apply to GAs?

I like it, but I like GLOBALLY moderating.... Also, I would love a promotion' if we have to. Seeing somebody got immediatly promoted to Head Admin....rather than staff with more expirience.. First, I was made a Global Moderator, then I was made an Administrator. After some time, I was promoted to Security Administrator. Shortly after becoming Security Administrator (and when Buggy793 left), I became the Head Administrator. Yes, I skipped some rungs (e.g. Moderator, AA, etc.), but I did have to work my way up and prove my responsibility and maturity. I do have experience...
Anyhow, I thought you, oZone, said that we shouldn't fill our forums with too many staff? Wouldn't your current plan only contradict that wish? If you do want to do this, then this would be nice. Every board would have a moderator specific to that board, and everyone would know his place. Maybe we could do something like this, from weakest to strongest: - TheListo's Fiance
- Moderator for every board
- Help Administrator | General Administrator | Games Administrator
- Administrator
- Assistant Graphic Artist
- Graphic Artist
- Programmer
- Security Administrator
- Head Administrator
- Co-Owner
- Site Owner
I'm not sure how to order Programmer and Security Administrator, if they should be different ranks...

I think security Admin should be higher. Good list anyway.

I thought...oh wait. Listo removed it. I think there was something in the admin...
Well, they are the same and should be listed so.

Well, the contest judge board thing is now in place, and it's really helpful. Thanks.

The following is a PM from TheListo.
We have a go! We may proceed!

So staff ranks will be modified to: Board Moderator, Category Admin, Sec Admin etc.?

There would also be a "standard, global" administrator, such as you are now, but yes: those would end up being new titles. - TheListo's Fiance
- Moderator for every board
- Help Administrator | General Administrator | Games Administrator
- Administrator
- Assistant Graphic Artist
- Graphic Artist
- Programmer
- Security Administrator
- Head Administrator
- Co-Owner
- Site Owner
I guess the questions now are these: who should be each of the board moderators, and who should be the category administrators? I presume that "matching" ranks will be maintained, e.g. M4 will remain Administrator?

Then are the contest judges going to be the contest board mods? Or do we get to keep being this rank? I'd personally rather be a judge than a contest board mod.

You would probably be in charge of both Contest Ideas and Contests, and ergo it would be more convenient to keep your current name.

Would I keep my DB changing powers? I like to be able to do my own shop transactions. Also, would we keep powers in the staff board for contests?

All staff will have access to the staff board, and all staff equivalent to or more than the Dan-Ball Shop Moderator will have powers to transact Dan-Balls. As a judge, it would be necessary for you to hand out rewards, so yes: you would continue to transact Dan-Balls.
