another 4 weeks have passed. this time there is a quite... interesting addition; the element BIRD. they fly around in seemingly random directions and try to avoid colliding with other elements, but if seeds or ants get in their way they eat their way through. other than that don't know much about it... yet. oh, and be careful with pen size 9 bird swarms. it HEAVILY slows the game down! (9fps...)

When the player has it he goes in slow motion when you hold down. Matrix style.

Even with no momentum, the player flips when bird is used. try it. Put a bird player on a blank screen and hold down. it will flip

Weirdest update ever O.O Player goes nuts with it, and you can jump far with it. Hm.... You could make a birdy race(from metal/ice/glass/vine[not recommended vine]) Oh well... For all of you pixel artists, another color. Also, charged glass(thunder goes through metal and hits glass...) burns it, so does all other hot elements, if it goes in water, it acts like oil(floats up) until it reaches air the surface, then it starts flying again. Virus and bomb reacts normally. Lightning destroys it. Will try to avoid anything other than seed or ant, if touches seed or ant, it will consume it(seed/ant disapears).

Birds will head toward wood and congregate there, like they're roosting...
P.S. Are there any practical applications for this? Do they have charted movement we can make use of? Anything at all?

One fun thing to do is:
Make a hollow tube, erase (PEN-S 5) two sides of Block, set to Side-Loop, and put in Birds. If they split up, they'll meet in the middle, group up, then change direction.

While Birds try to avoid Vine, if they do land on Vine they're engulfed.
It gives Vine a kind of carnivorous feel.

Looks like Mattaroni is up to his old tricks again... look up "Talking Birds"
And upload that does nothing but ask for votes in an elaborate manner is idiotic...

Bird's love WOOD, they try to land on it and sit on it for a while then fly away.

You know what the only thing about this update is that I don't like? The fact that the birds are able to steer clear of glass! It would make sooooo much sense if birds didn't try to avoid glass and were destroyed on contact. =DDD
EDIT: However, I thought of a very good use for this. Trees always accumulate seeds, which is annoying for me. Now the birds will eat the spare seeds. Of course, next will have to be an update that includes an element to eat spare birds.... and so on. Hah

I don't know what you mean about the FPS drops, I stay at 19-21 FPS on all backgrounds with large swarms of birds. EDIT: Vine does not "eat" birds. They are still quite alive and can even escape from it. Sometimes when vine encases a pixel of bird, it may escape through a missing diagonal pixel of vine.

It's funny how the pixels all communicate with each other.

This element has a good potential in chain reactions it seems....
You could have would grow into torch which makes the birds start flying wile on fire into something else and so on...

Fire doesn't spread with it, so that wouldn't really work. . . :/
