Memzak, that's basically what we've already said, but nice to know you agree.
When should we make it? Where should we put it? If we add in the member groups, this could take up a lot of categories, and since staff (high staff, anyway) CAN see into all the member group's boards...
Shouldn't we have a hold on the number of categories?

I want to get back to something GV Said, and thats concerning the excuse that "I just got out of the Mature board."
We can not tolerate that excuse, and in all logic, its not an acceptable excuse. Knowing that it won't work means people know that they can't use it.
If it brings a serious and visible change of tone among our community, we can shut it down at any time.
Furthermore, the mature board is the mature board. Maturity being required, i think we need to be lax about the content that can be placed there. The purpose of this board is for people to maturely discuss content that would be generally if not outright unacceptable elsewhere, and not to be another closed can with a little different ruleset.
As compeled as I am to lobby for the contrary, there still needs to be lines, and these lines need to be drawn at some point or another. I.E., Before we hit Hardcore Pornography. But being a mature section where mature people are expected to discuss mature content, alot of our general rules (including ones regarding such topics as discriminations and nudity) can be pulled back a little bit (this is mainly my logical side speaking. Enjoy it while you can).
Furthermore, we will need to have a very in-depth and visible disclaimer regarding that the board DOES contain content that may offend certain persons, and that people are intering this section and viewing its contents of their own informed will and accord.

So, Fox, you basically summed up the thread.

That would be comprised of Veers talking to himself, most likely.

This whole thing sounds like a good idea to me, but... We should probably add a post limit on it. Full Member and higher, just to make sure they aren't a spambot? I think Full Member (50 posts) seems way to low. I'd say at least Superior Member (200 posts). But of course, it depends how mature the topics would be. Could someone give me some specific examples of the kind of "sensitive" topics that would be discussed?

TSL, it took months and months for ANYONE to reach Superior Member. We need to do this relative to the new-ish member, not relative to us.

pretty sure it doesn't take that long to post 200 times.

G: Were you being sarcastic? @qwerty: Thats nowhere near relative to us. We staff members have thousands of posts. I'd be willing to lower it to 150 posts. But like I said, it depends how mature the topics are, and no one here has given examples yet.

/Hm. I should think that it would be somewhat like girls discussing their first period. Nothing like porn, just talking about stuff that isn't part of normal conversation.

Okay, 200 it is.
Exactly, VIROS. There is a limit.

No, I literally don't think that it normally takes "months and months" to get to 200 posts.

I'm talking about back when the forums weren't quite as active.

If I remember correctly, when I first joined, it took me about 2 months to get 200 posts. I'd say that's a reasonable amount of time.

That does seem fair, but remember, this was back when you joined. The forums weren't quite as active then, and it would be harder to get posts.

yea... there weren't as many topics to post on... but now there is an abundance of topics...
I'd say 200 posts for access to the mature section is a very reasonable amount...
