In what way? Anyway, you just bumped this topic (revived it after a month), which is not allowed.

Nice, as in creepily interesting (which is just what you can expect from sandmaster). And, sorry for reviving the thread. I wasn't aware of that rule.

1. If Global Warming is real, it has been proven that with the amount of potential ozone depletion (similar to potential energy) it is irreversable. 2. If it isn't, why should we even care?
Either way, there's nothing we can or should do.
It has been proven that climate can and has changed rapidly, yet temperatures have increased approximately 1.0 degrees celsius compared to 1900. In other words, compared to the last 100,000 years we are .6 degrees celsius above normal. Mmmmmmm, big increase. Lol. Okay, back to topic. Compared to all of Earth's history, we are waaaaaaay below the average temperature, but that is only because for a couple billion years the Earth was uninhabitable. Anyway, any limitations that can come as a result of Global Warming will definitely cause a complete global economic collapse, seeing that over 50% of the US's energy comes from coal and that doesn't even take into consideration other nations. Although for some reason Bearack Obama refuses to consider the solution: Nuclear Power. Clean, efficient, and rarely melts down, contrary to urban legend.

In what way? Anyway, you just bumped this topic (revived it after a month), which is not allowed. Despite that, stories, artwork, debate, and certain topics in the Java Games section are open no matter how inactive they are: we are not allowed to lock them in spite of our ability to lock them...
1. If Global Warming is real, it has been proven that with the amount of potential ozone depletion (similar to potential energy) it is irreversable. Slowing down is better than doing nothing, and doing nothing is better than catalysing (i.e. facilitating)...

Do you know why he wont allow nuclear power?
Oh, and is nuclear power (im not educated on this subject) when they use uranium or something?

Do you know why he wont allow nuclear power? Oh, and is nuclear power (im not educated on this subject) when they use uranium or something? Yes, it uses uranium. Also, I have no idea why he would belive that, since an accident like Chernobyl was 1 in 1,000,000,000,000 and with innovative technology today it is even more unlikely for that to happen. The accident itself was a result of poor maintenence, which I don't believe will happen again. Anyway, it is hard to get rid of the nuclear waste, a side effect of the fission process. I'm sure that jettisoning it into space would solve the problem. Well we're all going to die anyway...

Nuclear power in plants is using fission to split atoms of uranium or plutonium to create energy. but in general nuclear power is fission or fusion. scientists are are trying to create a fusion generator but there are huge ploblems with it such as the huge amount of heat produced.

If global warming is real, I believe an increase in the use of nuclear power plants would prove to be an effective step in our efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

The development of hydrogen cars might also be beneficial.

Nuclear power plants? ? They pump their waste through huge tubes which causes heavy damage to the atmosphere!!!!!!!! Hydrogen powered cars would help.

they pump their waste through huge tubes which causes heavy damage to the atmothsphere, eh? Why not just fix that problem and jettison it into space, then?

How? By sending up rockets? Imagine the cost. We also have to think economically here.

They already made a hydrogen car. I think it was toyota who did it. I saw this thing about it on tv. Nuclear fission plants = not good scource. In thousands of years we would run out of uranium. what then? Wind, water, and solar power is where we need to move to.

yup....although it's bloody expensive and people think wind farms 'look too ugly'.

Exactly! No matter how great wind, water, and solar energy may sound, you have to take into account their cost. Developing and utilizing these technologies is nowhere as easy as it may seem.

Either that or we employ billions of hamsters to generate electricity by running in their hamster wheels.
